Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) Therapy
Do you often find yourself struggling with overwhelm and not being able to regulate your emotions? Do you find that you are very sensitive about your relationships with family friends and co-workers or peers? Do you ever feel like you are just “too much” for other people to handle. Do your strong emotions cause you to act in ways that you later feel ashamed about. Our therapists get it, and are deeply empathetic, emotionally attuned, and capable of incredible growth when it comes to struggles like these.
How therapy can help you.
Therapy can help provide some tools and strategies to better manage emotional intensity, fear of abandonment, impulsivity, self-criticism, or unstable relationships. Individuals with Symptoms of BPD often experience emotions more deeply than others — therapy helps build the skills and understanding needed to navigate those experiences with compassion and control.
Treatment Using Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based approach proven effective for treating BPD. It focuses on developing four essential skill areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Through DBT, clients learn to manage intense emotions without resorting to harmful coping behaviours, communicate more effectively, and build a stronger sense of self. Therapy sessions often combine skill-building, emotional processing, and real-life practice, helping clients find balance between acceptance and change.
Therapy can also provide a validating space to explore difficult emotions while learning new tools for emotional resilience.
Over time, clients often notice improved relationships, fewer emotional crises, and a growing sense of self-acceptance.
With consistent support, life becomes more stable and fulfilling.
